Eve LEUNG Mei-kar

Eve is a performer, teacher and choreographer graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, major in Musical Theatre Dance. She is currently Tap and Jazz instructor at HKAPA EXCEL, Hong Kong Children Choir (Dance) and Japanese International School. In 2001-2003, she worked in the U.S. with Tai Dang Company, Chan-can-dance Theatre, Fulton Opera, and Musical Theatre of Wichita as a featured dancer. She was also tapper of What’s On? TAP! and choreographer of Nexis Drama in Toronto. Eve performed for companies such as Hong Kong Musical Theatre Federation, ShuNing Presentation Unit Ltd., DanceArt and Tap Ensemble. Eve choreographed numerous dance numbers for dance/theatre companies and schools. She had been teacher and choreographer in the HKAPA EXCEL Summer Musical School (SMS) and choreographed The King and I, Disney’s High School Musical 1, Disney’s High School Musical 2 and Footloose. Eve created new jazz show Blazing in 2009 produced by MT Pulse Theater Danz Company. Eve is a founder of R&T (Rhythm & Tempo) Tap Company which positively give an impetus to tap dancing in Hong Kong. R&T produced and proudly presented the original tap show Under the Hood which is nominated for Dance Awards 2007. They were invited to perform in 2008 Taipei Tap Festival – Tap Together, and create Beat.Me.Tap in 2009. Eve also choreographed Tap Building Premiere. Currently Eve is one of the coordinator and performer in Beat.Me.Tap 2 and The First Hong Kong Tap Festival in 2010.
