Jennie Wong graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University, holding a BA (Hons) in music and MA with Merit in music education. Majored in both violin and voice, Jennie also studied conducting with Jerome Hoberman. During the years of study, Jennie was active in a variety of performance activities﹕she had been appointed Associate Conductor of the Baptist University Christian Choir, and served as conductor of the City University Choir and Assistant Conductor of the Hong Kong Bach Choir. After graduation, she furthered her vocal training, and received the Licentiate Performer’s Diploma from the Trinity College of Music, Basic Kodaly Certificate from SCE of Baptist University, Specialist Certificate in Orff Teacher Training from RCM of Toronto. Jennie is an experienced choral conductor, specialized in training young voices in early childhood. She had been conductor of various children’s choirs and church choirs, the Music Director of the Creative Children Choir, conductor of Methodist College Choir. She is currently conductor of Ma On Shan Methodist Primary School choirs, which won first prize in HK School Music Festival for three years under her direction. Jennie was also an experienced string instructor in various schools and institutes, including the International Music Institute, the Hong Kong Music Institute. Jennie was invited to teach the Choral Conducting Workshop at the APA EXCEL, and Early Childhood Music Education for the Associate Degree at the Lingnan University, as well as the Macao Polytechnics Institute. Jennie currently is the conductor of the Hong Kong Bach Chamber Choir and Senior choir od the Hong Kong Children’s Choir.
