Tutor's Profile
Tutor: Yip Yum Lam Henry
Henry graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), majoring in Musical Theatre Dance. He also has further studied at the American Dance Festival (North Carolina), Steps on Broadway (New York City), Broadway Dance Center (New York City), Off Jazz Company (Nice, France) & WDM (Bari, Italy). With influence by his mentors such as Mohamed Drissi (HKAPA), Jeffery Bullock (Hollins University), Hugues Salgas (Studio Paris Center) and Gianan Loringett (Off-jazz), Henry is well developed in Theater & Jazz Dance Style. Henry has worked with the Hong Kong Dance Company (Chinese Dance) and the Dance Art Dance Company (Contemporary Dance) for over thirteen productions. With different arts organisations, Henry has performed in Macau, Shanghai, Beijing, Taiwan, Malaysia, Philippine, Prague, Doha, Perth, France, Monte-Carlo and Italy. Henry lectures and demonstrates Jazz and Theater Dance in over 50 local secondary schools. He regularly choreographes Musical for different schools, universities and organisations. He is one of the founders and producers of the Hong Kong Musical Theater Federation. He is also the adjudicator for the Schools Dance Festival (Theater/Jazz Group), ATOD Pan Asia and the Hong Kong Open Dance Contest. Henry is currently a freelance teacher, choreographer and performer.
Tutor: Natalie Hung
Natalie Hung graduated from Australian Institute of Music, majoring in Music Theatre and University of Exeter, majoring in Psychology. She was rewarded Music Scholarships from both institutes during her studies overseas. Since young age, she has developed keen interest in both singing and dancing and has received Distinction in ABRSM Grade 8 Vocal. She has recently been chosen to be one of the trainees of the 1- year Upstream Musical Theatre Training Program in HK3AMI, lead by Mr Mohamed Drissi.
Her musical theatre performance credits include, Side by Side by Sondheim (HK3AMI, HK), West Side Twirling Dream (Theatre Space, HK), Fay- A Tap Musical (Rhythm & Tempo), The Full Monty (Theatre and Company (AUS) production), Reefer Madness (AIM (AUS) production), to name a few. She also performed in several local community theatre projects and school tours. Organisations she worked with include: YatPo Singers, Hong Kong Disneyland, Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation, Step Out Studio, Cantabile Hong Kong, etc.
Currently working freelance, she is a musical theatre performer/ singer/ singing teacher. She founded “Songthin’blu” with her singing partner, where they harmonise, film videos, and sing at events. When she is offstage, she teaches a cappella and singing to students ranging from kindergarten kids to the elderlies in several musical institutes and local schools.
