Tutor: CHEN Lai
Felix holds a Master of Fine Arts from Beijing Dance Academy. He has possessed 30-year academic research background on Chinese Dance and a professional career as a dance artist, covering the three fields of performance, education, and choreography design. Not only did he win many major international and local dance competitions, but also has been awarded the Hong Kong Dance Awards twice. He also received the Hong Kong Jockey Club Dance Master Degree Scholarship as well. After returning to Hong Kong in 2014, he has frequent worked with major art, cultural, and educational institutions on various projects. His large-scale dance performance “Dunhuang Reflections” was presented in Hong Kong, Beijing and Guangzhou for eight times. He has been teaching in the HKAPA since 2007.
Tutor: CHAN Man Kwan
Graduated from the School of Dance of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) with a first-class honors degree, majoring in Chinese dance and minoring in dance education. After graduation, Chan worked as a one-year contract dancer at the Hong Kong Dance Company's Outreach and Education Department. After that, she began to actively participate in performances and choreography in different fields. Chan is currently a part-time tutor for the Chinese Dance Department of HKAPA, the Gifted Young Dancer Programme of HKAPA and the DSE Applied Learning Program of HKAPA Excel.
Tutor: ZHAO Na
Graduated from the School of Dance of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a Master of Fine Arts (Hons) degree, majoring in Chinese dance.
During her years, she performed the award-winning Korean dance solo piece The Bone of Fan by Zhang Xiao-Mei from the Beijing Dance Academy, Ambush choreographed by head of Chinese dance Sheng Pei-qi and local artist Mui Cheuk-yin, Of Dream in Time and Space choreographed by Zhang Jian-Ming, a well-known choreographer in China. She also performed the dance piece The Dream at Expo 2010 in Shanghai representing HKAPA together with Shanghai Theatre Academy. After graduating, Zhao performed a dance poem Along the River During the Qingming Festival during the China Tour of Hong Kong Dance Company. Recently, Zhao has actively participated in academic conferences held in Beijing, Shenyang, Mongolian, and many mainland cities. Currently, she is a part-time tutor of Chinese dance and the Gifted Young Dancer Programme (GYDP) at HKAPA.
