Elementary Chinese Classical Dance and Shen Yun includes two main elements: basic Chinese dance training and ShenYun (emotional representation in body movement).
Apart from basic classical dance exercises, which are designed to improve the body's flexibility and coordination, this course also focuses ShenYun, which is a set of elegant body gestures and movement help to express the theme and emotion of the dance repertoire.
This course is suitable for Chinese Classical Dance lovers, beginners welcome.

Tutor's Profile
Tutor: Chan Man Kwan
Graduated from the School of Dance of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) with a first-class honors degree, majoring in Chinese dance and minoring in dance education. After graduation, Chan worked as a one-year contract dancer at the Hong Kong Dance Company's Outreach and Education Department. After that, she began to actively participate in performances and choreography in different fields. Chan is currently a part-time tutor for the Chinese Dance Department of HKAPA, the Gifted Young Dancer Programme of HKAPA and the DSE Applied Learning Program of HKAPA Excel.
