The film industry is vast, encompassing numerous departments and technologies. Creating ideal production conditions step by step is a crucial aspect of entering the film industry. This course will cover various production areas within the film industry, including documentaries, short films, feature films, and variety shows etc. Students will learn the key steps involved in each production, starting from script development to preparing production budgets, location shooting, directing, editing, and marketing strategies. By delving into these topics, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of different aspects of the film industry and film production management. At the same time, students will develop their appreciation for film aesthetics and enhance their abilities in executing film production.

Tutor: Vinci Wong
Vinci, WONG Wan Sze is a Hong Kong producer, director and screenwriter. She graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (Film and TV). She has directed short films such as Beloved Storage (2018) and Mommies (2021). She has produced RTHK’s documentaries, such as A Dream to be Chinese Conductor (2017) and The Last Love Poem: TSAI Yim-pui (2018). Her TV drama Alpha Maria (2019) was the first Hong Kong TV drama to feature a transgender actor in the lead role and was chosen as Hong Kong’s representative at Best of INternational PUblic Television Screening Conference (INPUT) 2020.. She also participated in the HAF Film Lab and the Fantastic Film School 2021 (Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival) etc. Her feature film, Love to Bits, was selected by the 19th Hong Kong - Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF 2021). Her latest film, Semi, which she produced and scripted, was funded by HKADC and is in post-production.
