The course is a rhythmic dance class designed specifically for tap dance enthusiasts. In just 8 sessions, students will learn a simple yet captivating tap dance routine. Throughout the course, students will start by learning the fundamentals of tap dance, including techniques and footwork. Various basic tap dance steps such as shuffle, flap, and brush will be taught, and these steps will be combined to create simple dance sequences.
* Students should bring along their own tap shoes to class.

Tutor's Profile
Tutor: Ken Kwok
A prominent figure in the field of tap dancing in Hong Kong, studied under Mandy Petty and Mohamed Drissi. He graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Musical Theater dance, and he obtained the Advanced (Honours) Certificate in Tap Dancing from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
Between 2005 and 2007, Ken further obtained the Teacher's Certificate and Teacher's Diploma in Tap Dancing from the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) in Australia. In 2012, he won first place in the Kangaroo Cup Dance Competition (Tap Dance Division) and obtained the seventh place in the solo male category at the International Dance Organization (IDO) Tap Dance World Championship. In every edition of Hong Kong Tap Festival, he performs with tap masters from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China, and the United States.
Ken Kwok is passionate in promoting tap dancing in Hong Kong and has choreographed numbers of tap dance performances. He is one of the founders of R&T and created Hong Kong Tap Festival along with his team.
