Taking a Chance on Dance is one of the Applied Learning (ApL) courses offered to senior secondary students as an elective subject within the senior secondary curriculum. This course focuses on the aesthetic aspect of dance by engaging students in ta holistic experience as people, dancers and makers of dance through the “Three Key Learning Processes: Performing, Creating and Appreciation”. It involves learning to perform and create dance, learning to appreciate and appraise dance, and using dance to support cognitive learning. The course also provides an all-around training to students, in developing their creativity and imagination, and on the other hand enhancing their interpersonal relations and self-confidence. This course is conducted in Chinese.
